The current Miss Massachusetts Teen America 2007, Jillian Marie Jensen, has been no stranger to the stage. She has been performing as a singer ever since the age of two years old when she won the title of Little Miss Talent New England. Since then she has won several other contests including, South Coast Idol winner 2006, Burt Wood Idol 2004/2006; in 2004 Jillian was chosen out of 3,700 applicants as one of 150 to compete in the USA Talent Show Case in Las Vegas, Nevada. (She took first place in acting, and placed in the top 20 best performers.) In 2006, Jillian had the opportunity to attend the Talent Rock Music Convention, in Florida, where she was recognized for her vocal and instrumental abilities by a Beverly Hills talent management company. In February 2007, Jillian was chosen from more then 300 applicants to take part in the New England Talent Awards, but due to other musical commitments had to decline the opportunity. In March of 2007 she won the title of Miss Massachusetts Teen America, she then went on to compete for the title of Miss Teen America in Nashville, Tennessee, where she tied for first place in Talent with her rendition of “I am Changing” by Jennifer Holiday.
